Jewish Culture Month - Ohros Candle Making Class - Hackney 🕯️
A two-hour candlemaking class centred on play, scent, and a lot of laughter. This is a relaxed, hands-on workshop where you’ll explore fragrance, experiment with blending and create your own bespoke soy wax candle from scratch. Scent is about connection. Candles have always been part of Jewish life, from the stillness of Shabbat to the glow of Chanukah and the transition of Havdallah. This class gently brings that into a modern, creative setting without it feeling heavy or formal.
You’ll work with over 30 fragrances to create something that feels personal to you, then pour and finish your own candle to take home. Come on your own or with friends. The vibe is calm, welcoming, and creative, an easy space to switch off, make something with your hands, and enjoy the process. You’ll leave with your candle and that quiet satisfaction of having made something thoughtful, personal, and genuinely yours.
